My Performance Journey - Production Diaries.

  Monday 11th of September. This was my first full day at college with both years in the theatre. Since it was only our first day we only did a few small activities one of which was a word association game.  We did this as it helped us think quickly under intense situations, which we will need for our performance in The Globe.  After this we did a whole group freeze frame of a pirate ship to test our ability to stay in character.  As well as this we all got into groups and wrote down our rules and expectations of the course.  Finally, at the end of the day we all wrote down our skills that could come in handy for our different shows. First impressions My first few weeks in the Acting for stage and screen have been a blast, and it seems that the course will only get better as I become a better actor and perform shows.  After reading about what we will be doing as a class throughout the 2 years, I look forward to all the things we will get up to, although I have to admit I am most excited to perform Peter Pan as it really cements the start of my journey of becoming an actor.  However, while the course looks like it will be really fun, it doesn't mean it won't be challenging, such as the globe horror show, which I feel will be the most challenging for me due to the aspect of improvisation and interacting with the audience.  Although it may be difficult, I believe that doing this show so early in the course will really boost my confidence and greatly improve my skills as an actor.
